Parent Newsletter August 5, 2024

School Starts at 7:30AM, please have students at school by 7:25AM

Dear Families,

What an amazing first day of school! Our students came in with smiles and positive energy, ready to learn and grow. It was wonderful to see them reconnecting with old friends and already making new ones. The classrooms were filled with excitement, laughter, and a strong sense of community.

We are so excited for the year ahead and grateful to partner with you on your child’s learning journey!

Please see some of our pictures below. Also read below to see some important reminders to help make our day run a little bit better for our kids.

See you all tomorrow!

Morning Drop-Off Reminder

To help keep our students safe, please keep the following in mind during morning drop-off:

  1. If your child rides a bike to school, please remind them to walk their bike across the street and while on campus.

  2. Do not drop students off on the street — please use the designated drop-off lane.

  3. If you are walking your child to the gate, please do not park in the lot in front of the office. Instead, use the north parking lot (near the bus loop). This helps us avoid foot traffic through the vehicle flow and keeps everyone safe.

  4. If you child needs assistance getting out of the vehicle, please park in the north lot and walk them to the gate.

Parents will be permitted to go to the courtyard Thursday and Friday morning only. Please do not go on to the playgrounds or follow your students to class. Starting on Monday, all students will be dropped off at the gate and will walk to the playground or cafeteria for breakfast.

Dismissal Reminders

Walk-Up Gate Dismissal Reminders

  1. Have your dismissal card with you and visible at pick-up.

  2. Cones will be placed for walk-up families — please go to the sign with your youngest child’s grade. A teacher or staff member will come to collect your card and call for your child.

  3. Stay behind the designated lines and please do not crowd the gate.

  4. Do not call out to your child or encourage them to come to you. This disrupts the process and can create safety concern

Drive-Up Dismissal Reminders

    1. Have your dismissal card with you and visible at all times.

    2. Yellow card families should not enter the drive-up loop until 2:05 PM. Please allow families with purple cards to go through first.

    3. If you need to assist your child with their seatbelt, we kindly ask that you use the walk-up gate instead, so we can keep the drive-up line moving efficiently.

Please do not park on the curb in the north parking lot.

ATTENTION PRE-SCHOOL PARENTS!!!

Please follow the guidelines below for safe drop-off and pick-up.

  1. Do not park along the curb — this is a designated fire lane. You must park in a parking spot and walk your child to the gate to sign them in and out.

  2. All families must be buzzed in at the gate. Please press the button and wait for assistance before entering. Staff members are not permitted to let you in the gate.

Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe and our procedures running smoothly!

Please label all student belongings including water bottles and backpacks.

Transportation Information

AMPHI School district uses an app called My Ride K-12.  Please click this link for more information. This link will have all the information that you need in regards to your child's transportation needs. The 2025-2026 information has been uploaded to this program.

My Ride K-12 is a one-of-a-kind mobile app integrated with our transportation software that allows both you and your student to access estimated times of arrival or departure for your bus. This helps ensure that you and your student are on time for pick-ups and drop-offs while making the bus route more efficient. Sign up for push notifications to be automatically notified about changes in your student’s bus arrival, and to prevent you from having to frequently check the My Ride K-12 app for ETAs.

My Ride K-12 is now available for you to download on your Apple or Android mobile device. Simply search the app store for “My Ride K-12” to download and register yourself on the app. Please ensure that you change your password upon initially logging in, as this will help ensure secure login and user management moving forward.

If you change the way your child is going home, please call the office your teachers do not check emails or voicemails during the school day.
