This year students will be allowed to celebrate Halloween on October 30th with their classmates. Please follow the costume guidelines below when picking out a costume. We want this to be an enjoyable day for everyone.
1. Students may wear facial make-up. Make-up needs to be applied before coming to school, not during school hours. We have many young students on campus so please avoid blood or depictions of violence.
2. Please avoid masks, students will not be able to wear them during the school day.
3. Costumes must adhere to our clothing guidelines regarding modesty.
4. Students should keep any props at home. Props include but are not limited to: swords, brooms, crutches, etc. Props cause a distraction during the school day and may become lost or broken.
5. Please ensure that your child's costume is conducive to a learning environment.
6. Students may wear inflatable costumes, but teachers may ask for them to not have them inflated during class time.
7. Students MUST wear shoes - slippers are not permitted.

Minecraft Robotics Coding
During class, Ninjas use code to control robots and automate tasks like farming and digging in Minecraft Education Edition®, transforming tedious jobs into exciting challenges. They'll explore fundamental computer science concepts such as loops and functions, using these skills to create awe-inspiring events like spawning hundreds of chickens from the sky! Throughout each week, Ninjas will enjoy a collaborative environment where they can share their achievements and play together in a vibrant, interactive world. This unique blend of creativity and technology encourages teamwork and boosts confidence as they watch their code come to life.
Quarter 2 classes will be held from October 28 through December 16.

Hey, Painted Sky Families!
Let’s celebrate getting outside and getting moving!
One of my favorite things about P.E. is encouraging our kids to find fun ways to be active, not just at school, but at home and out in our community, too! Whether your child loves riding bikes, hiking, swimming, playing sports, dancing, running around at the park, or just being silly and active outside, I want to celebrate it!
Here’s where YOU come in!
I would LOVE for you to send me a picture of your child being active outside of school! It can be anything that gets them up, moving, and having fun. I’m going to create a special display in our gym to show off all the amazing ways our Painted Sky students stay active outside of school!
The goal is simple: to inspire our kids to get outside, try new things, move their bodies, and discover that being active can be FUN!
So, dig through those camera rolls, snap a new picture, or send me one from your latest family adventure. Hiking, biking, kicking a soccer ball, shooting hoops, skiing, swimming, walking the dog, or anything in between—I want to see it!
Let’s fill our gym with smiling faces, fun memories, and lots of movement!
Thank you for helping me encourage a healthy, active lifestyle for our Painted Sky kiddos. I can’t wait to see what everyone is up to!
Keep moving, keep smiling, and keep having fun!

Did you know you can support Painted Sky at no additional cost to you? The Arizona Public School Tax Credit allows you to contribute to our school and receive a dollar-for-dollar credit on your Arizona state taxes.
🌟 How Does It Work?
Married couples filing jointly: Donate up to $400
Individuals: Donate up to $200
Your contribution can be claimed as a dollar-for-dollar Arizona state tax credit, up to the applicable limit and your tax liability.
For the 2026 tax year, contributions must be made by April 15, 2027.
🚌 Your Tax Credit Helps Keep Field Trips Possible!
Many of our tax credit accounts currently have low balances, and this is beginning to impact our ability to provide some of the more traditional field trips our students look forward to each year.
District policy requires schools to rent a charter bus when traveling outside of the local area, and charter buses are a significant expense. As a result, if we do not raise enough tax credit funds, we may need to limit some field trips to local destinations, particularly for our 5th graders.
This could impact educational experiences such as BizTown, which provides students with an exciting, hands-on opportunity to apply what they are learning in the classroom. Our goal is to continue offering these meaningful experiences while keeping the cost to families as reasonable as possible.
🎨⚽🎶 Where Does Your Donation Go?
Tax credit contributions help provide students with opportunities such as:
These experiences allow our students to explore new interests, build confidence, develop real-world skills, and make lasting memories. They are an important part of providing a well-rounded education.
💛 Every Contribution Makes a Difference!
Whether you contribute $25 or the full allowable amount, your support directly impacts the opportunities we can provide for our students. If you are able to make a tax credit contribution, please consider supporting Painted Sky this year.
Thank you for investing in our students and helping us continue to provide the experiences that make school exciting, meaningful, and memorable.
Together, we can help our students learn, grow, and SOAR! 🌟📚🚌
